watched the heroes season 2 episode 1... something strucked me there... when a guy asked claire... are you a robot? or an alien?
robots do what they are told to...
aliens do what they want...
so i may consider myself as an alien...

i'll do what i want to do... but still submit to God's will... it's my choice... my decision

to listen to His will...

in relation to this... i finished reading the "anthem"... and it is still related to the topic -> your choice and decisions... must not do what others tell you... not do what they impose on you... you are what you are... you have your own choices... you have freedom...

and there is this 'group' that they tell their members what to do... what is evil and what is good... you have no identity as an individual... there are laws that must be obeyed.. rules that are implemented... in it... there is no grace and mercy... boring... you must submit to their authorities... or else... you will be removed from the group...

i know God did not forsake me... did not left me..

while in the worship service... while singing the "Lord I offer my life to you..."
i realized something... if i were to offer my life to God, will it be a pleasing sacrifice before him... looking back when israelites make their offerings before God, they offer their best lambs... the best products... but for me... if i were to offer myself... will it be pleasing?... this sinful person that i am... i think it will have a bad smell if i were to be burned... abraham was ready to offer isaac before God because he knew... isaac was the best... and deserving to be offered to God... but me... if i were to be dissected and burn to be an offering before God... it will not please him... just like the offering of Cain... not the best... but the least...

after that... i remembered the message of the pastor... way back... according to grace... mercy... coming from God..

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

the grace of God will enable me to offer myself to Him... to be a pleasing sacrifice before him... His mercy endures forever...

team building

we had a teambuilding last weekend...
at the forest club laguna...
the place, the food and the activities were great...
enjoyed all the activities... all the games and the food...
we arrived there around 10am or 11am...
the we went to our room and gathered... had a pre-game..
some trust games...
then after that, we ate lunch...
then, we praticed our team cheer....
played football after... coz i brought my size 3 Portugal football...
then.. had a break...
after that, the cheer competition began...
we did not won the cheering but we're not on the last place.. hehehe.
not bad..
then after that... the GAMES...
an amazing race type of game...
canopy walk...

bamboo rafting...
kadang kadang...
relay games...
haha... so many..
then... WE WON!!!
our team won...
hehehe..
not bad...
so tiring..
had some rest..
went to the pool... swim..
then dinner..

after that... when all is tired... went to sleep..
that was the most memorable teambuilding for me...
it was special..
this will be the last teambuilding for me in my current project...
coz i will be transfering to another project by october...

misadventure

we had another misadventure...

last night, me and i went to old spag haus to have a dinner. it was 7.30pm and i just parked my motorcycle in between two cars.

while eating our food and waiting for our other order to come, a waiter asked me if the motorcycle that was parked in front of the store is mine, and i said yes.

then he said, the motorcyle was towed. and there was something written on the floor. Go to YAKAL St...

ok. so i just cooled myself. finished our dinner then went to the police station. where a "tito" is working.

he accompanied me to the towing station and he talked to the officer in charge. they did not allow my motorcycle to be released.

we went back to the station. he made some calls. and after a few hours, because it was already late at night, he said that i'll just go back tomorrow.

there was this option that i will deposit 1000php to them, then they will release my bike... then my "tito" will just get it back after some processing.

or we will approach somebody that will waive the apprehension ticket.

so me and i just went home.

today. 9am, i went back to the police station. my "tito" made a call to this "official" who is a friend of the "bossing" on the towing...

so we just went to "bossing"... he told me to get the apprehension ticket... he put some note on it and presto. my bike was released. it was waived.

we thanked the "official" and my "tito" will go back to "bossing" to thank him. i also thanked my "tito" for that.

haay... another misadventure for PJ. hehehe.

lessons learned. dont park your bike in a car's parking area. watch your bike. be ready for the unexpected. pray. then talked to your "tito" if in need.

up and coming changes because of decisions made

there will be upcoming changes in my life coz of the decisions i made. thankfully, God was there to guide me and He gave me a favor...

passed the interview... received the news yesterday from our manager... well... i'm excited but at the same time i'm nervous....

will i ever survive to a different place for 3 months twice? and the work i'll be doing there and the challenges i will encounter there representing the delivery center here in manila and as a lead... haaaayy.... buhaay.... ginusto ko to, so kelangan panindigan ko... hehehehe...

i need first to complete all the requirements so that i may be able to go there...

the place and time will be announced on the next blogs...

hehehe...

by the way, last saturday, i attended our year ender party in the company at the PICC forum.... pictures can be located here.

decisions again.... updates....

well... i already made the decision, to accept the opportunity that is there... in front of me... i had an interview and i hope it will turn out well... and be accepted in the role that they need.... a lead for java development... sounds nice right? but it will be complicated for me...

anways, any new happening about me? last august 11, went to manaoag, pangasinan and moncada, tarlac. i accompnaied my two friends, jong and franco for their scooters to be blessed and have some refreshments in the province.... take some shots in the church and some shots while riding our bikes... photos can be seen here.

well.. i participated in the ALL STAR game in our company's baskteball league... scored 9 points and had a great game... well.. for the first time, i won... we won, our team won... hahaha... not bad...

august 17, did some blood letting, watched bourne ultimatum, then had some get together at giligans with toti and project mates. pictures at our last gimik can be seen here. courtesy of toti godes..

august 19, bought a new dog from a friend... labrador... the purpose is to match it up to our dalmatian dog... its name is "Yilmaz" coz the name of our dalamatian is "Ruffa"... hahha... what a name... but the dog is cute and nice... "matakaw"... always asking for food... it never gets full... hahaha...

august 20, tried to play futsal... so nice to have another sport activity, it's a holiday, no work, so no badminton... so i tried futsal... my body aches after that and was not able to go to work early and i missed attending the lead's meeting... hahaha..

august 22, played futsal again, met our coach in the football team.. and it was nice playing with him... skills added... level up... hahaha..

today, august 23, had the interview... hopefully, i'll be accepted in that work, my manager told me that every person that was interviewed always say that the talk was ok and fine but eventually was turned down... i hope mine will be different... i pray to God for His will... hopefully... wishful... hehehe..

ciao.. next update... will be the company's fiscal year ender party... :D

decisions to make

it's already august and there are decisions for me to make... take an opportunity outside the country or just stay to where i'm in...

so what now? i'm in a thinking mode everytime and before i go to sleep... haaayy...
still weighing things out... what are my priorities? save enough money for the future? or just stay to seek for another level... haaaayyy...

whatever happens... i believe God will not leave me for any decisions that I will make... still I will live in obedience to His will... to seek Him and know Him more...

i celebrated my 25th bday last sunday... and what can say? I thank God for that wonderful day and for blessing me for 25 years... never did I imagine that the Lord forsake me even though I always do something not good in His sight...

i attended the church early morning... then prepared the food... my two uncles and lot of my cousins arrived... we rented a videoke for 700php so we just sang to the max.... as in... I hosted the party myself... choosing songs and letting everyone sing it even if it's oldish or not... the family of my sister's husband were there too... so that's it... what i thought to be just a simple celebration ended to a great one...

then last monday... uhmm... i heard a good news... i was given the next level... thank God... i'm blessed... and i was asked what i want... so i'm still in the verge of thinking and deciding what i want... i told my manager that i need time to think it through... well... i said that i will give my decision friday next week or just after i decided...

the application that we are developing is already finish and we need to deliver it tomorrow and all we need now is to include validations and handling of exceptions... i pray that we can accomplish all these things... so help us God...

last week... monday... we had a basketball game... we lost..
even scoring 24 points... still not enough..

wednesday... we watched harry potter.. a nice movie... according to reviews... this is one of the best potter movie ever... i like the setting... the sounds... and the plot of the story... though book readers of the potter still not satisfied... i'm satisfied... hahaha... coz i'm not reading the book... one of the things that i did to enjoy the movie is that i read the summary of the book before watching the movie... so as not to be left out... and good thing was i watched it with my friends from my previous project who happen to be reading those books of potter.... and i enjoyed watching it...

thursday... i joined the ballroom dance lesson... hahaha... though i already knew how to dance swing.. and boogie... i still joined them... coz they need people... hahaha... well i really enjoyed that...

after that i went to bistro... it was the eve of erwin's bday... so i joined their team in celebrating his bday... just one bottle of san mig light for me will do... coz i will still drive my motorcycle in going home....

saturday.... morning is for basketball practice... then went home ate lunch... then went to a primer on lighting of our photo group... shot some pictures on the model ... a brazilian model... she's pretty... enjoyed shooting and it was a nice experience... lessons learned... and enjoyed the company of my photogroup....





after that... went to my previous project's 5th year anniversary... and it was a great night and a party to enjoy... saw my previoues team mates and friends... and it was fun seeing them again... drank and half drunk... hahahaha... but still able to go home...



sunday... went to church.. then... after that.. we went to the house of one of the ushers... a bday celebration and a fellowship for all the ushers for 3pm service... we had a good night and i enjoyed having fellowship with them... we played a charade like game... and our team did not won... but still there was an ice cream for all of us after that... the food was nice and i was full... hehehe...

neu updates about me

getting used to this lead role... though i find it still tricky on my part... doing status reports... handoff emails... doing updates... updating files... communicating with counterparts... kinda cool huh!?!

well.. update about the badminton tournament? well... what can i say... we won!!!
hahaha!! we are the champion on our level (7)... it was a 6-0 (2 sets each and no loss)... cool huh!?!?! well.. i haven't get the trophy coz i went home immediately becoz i have another appointment...

i went to my college friend's wedding... they are college couple and i'm glad that eventually... they were still at the end... they end up in a wedding... so good for them...

still practicing for the basketball team... i'm more on conditioned right now... can cope up... but the ankle still hurts...

about my ankle injury... did some research about it... less pain but the form of my ankle is not back to its original form... so i think there is something wrong... someone advised me to verify it by having an mri test or something... maybe this week...

last saturday... watched transformers... cool.. a great movie... what a great movie... it's fun watching it... remembering those cartoons before... and now they made it realistic... robotic.. it's awesome... wonderful....

last sunday... was not able to go to church... attended the chinese cemetery photoshoot... have some nice shots... and i enjoyed it... it's fun... after that... we had a dinner at SM san lazaro... congo grill... cool...

what now?

recently i've been busy here in my office.
doing stuffs i'm not usually doing.

a role of a sublead...

i'll be a sublead for this release. we only have small requirement, but i guess that will do...
there are additional admin tasks and more of supervising...

last week... we had some knowledge transitions and sessions on the new framework that we will be doing...

aside from work... there is this usual basketball game...

out last game.. we lost... but i'm more confident now in playing...

my injury... i'm getting better and better each day...

last saturday.. we had a basketball practice... it was still too hard for me to cope up with the other players because of my condition...
but still i survived... thank God..

Sunday.. i went home to bulacan and there we went to lunch with my family and relatives...
there we celebrated the Father's day...

monday... i attended the lead's meeting... did estimation on our requirement... submitted it to my lead...
tuesday... still... we did the estimation... together with my lead... we submitted it..
wednesday... our estimates were questioned by our offshore coordinator... did some adjustments with the estimates and started the detailed design...
thursday... doing detail design...

that's it for today...

this saturday ... i will compete for a badminton tournament... my partner is from my previous project.... hopefully we can win some games... whatever... just to enjoy the tournament... meet some new friends...

feeling sleepy at work so i did some writing... something to stirr up my mind... to make me awake...

finished training

whoah. a week passed and finally training was over.

this week was not that great for me becoz everyday, i went to ortigas just to attend the training. monday and tuesday wasn't bad at all.. learned something about technical writing. kind of refreshing. it's not that fun though i enjoyed it becoz one of the attendees is my team mate in basketball. it's cool.

wed to friday was great. becoz i attended intermediate eng skills training. it was fun. i learned a lot and i do have fun. learned so many things.

training is over and i think that i can now go back to work.

back to reality i may say.

about our basketball game last thursday. we lost. ah. i'm getting used to it already. those losing streak. argghh... still suffering from the injury i got from the previous game. pak! bad trip naman...

in everything give thanks. there's always lessons to be learned. ayt?

long weekend

why.

weekend was up to monday because of the election.

but before that. i will first tell what happened last thursday in our basketball game. we lost again. and the saddest part was that i was injured.

it was hard for me to come to the training last friday. and i thank God for giving me the strength and let me survived that hard day. walked from 6750 to GT tower. woah. so difficult. but i must. so that i will not prolong my agony.

friday night was a farewell dinner/party for marvin. one of our officemates who will be rolling to another project and will be assigned on shore on the next few weeks.

midnight. we went to my dad's workplace to greet him happy bday.
the next morning. we went to bulacan to celebrate his bday. we went to Cool Waves. a nice place. i still went to swimming even though my ankle hurts.

saturday night. we went back to makati. worst thing was, our vehicle overheated. and we were stucked along edsa until 2-3am. aww man..

sunday. 3pm. went to church. then ate ice cream. chunky choco mocha for mom. becoz it's mother's day. went to dinner by 8pm at the roxas boulevard with my uncles and cousins and my family of course. dinner went well and did some videokes stuff after eating.

monday. went to vote. becoz it was election day. voted for just 4 senators hoping they will win. chiz, kix, ping, gring. just four of them.

went to sm moa after. ice skate. even if i'm still injured. hehee. saw a celebrity. say alonzo. then ate dinner at Kalye Juan. sinigang and sisig. great dinner. and went home.

this week i will be on training..

we had a pre test and i think that i have so much to learn pa...

still excited on what will i learn and get on this training...

will it help me to become a better speaker/presentor....

last saturday and sunday. we went to bolinao pangasinan... puerto del sol to be exact... for our project outing...

we depart here in makati by 2.30am..
we ate our breakfast at jollibee, bolinao....
then arrived there at 9.30am... almost 10am...
then after that we went to the land tour..
we went first to the watch tower... it was nice...

then went to the rock formations...
it was nice also...
take some pictures again..
after that we went to the enchanted cave...
inside the cave... there is a mini pool...
becoz it's so hot outside... i swam...
refreshing...
after that we went back to the resort itself...
ate lunch and checked in to our rooms...

4.00pm.. we had games... my team headed the activity and i think everyone enjoyed the game.. i think they enjoyed the dodgeball part the most...

after that.. we played football like game in the pool..
ate dinner... then swam...
drink drink drink...but never got drunk...
slept at around 2am...

then woke up by 7.30am...
ate breakfast...
played "bluff" using the play cards.

then checked out...2.30pm


ate dinner at a gasoline station..
arrived by 10pm..
exhausted...
slept..

losing streaks

i'm on the losing streak right now.
i'm speaking about basketball..
i really don't know how it feels like to win...
yeah i mean win games.

been a part of the company's basketball team...
and all i can remember is that we lost our last few games...
sad...

and then... been part of a basketball team in our barangay...
we only had three games...
but sad to say... we lost all three games...

and then this time...
in our project...
a company's basketball league...
we could have won the game if only we take good care of our advantage points...
we lacked defense in the end game and collapsed our offensive side.
although there is something good in it...
first time in my life that i scored this huge... |||-|||||| points.
a career high...
something that i haven't done in my life... to score something this huge...
i'm overwhelmed...
though it is still better if we could have won the game...
but still it must be a team effort...
there's no "I" in the word TEAM.

enough of it...
i'm just lamenting... because we lost...
